The Underhill house features five bedrooms and five bathrooms, nestled in a quaint Nantucket neighborhood just a stone's throw from the beach. As a classic Sconset upside down house, its longtime owners were ready for a small refresh of bathrooms, interior furnishings, paint, and light fixtures without compromising its timeless charm. Working with the home’s existing floor as well as key architectural details, we gave the interior a bright and breezy look by layering cool coastal blues with warm natural materials. White oak, rattan, linen, bronze, and vintage oars made the perfect complement to this coastal retreat.
The owners loved the home’s original interior color, a gorgeous cheerful yellow, but wanted the master suite to stand out. Using a warm gray tone for the backdrop, we were able to distinguish their bedroom without overshadowing its original hue. Creating a cozy sanctuary space.
Custom side tables in the living room were built by ACKCNC Inc using white oak, and finished with a custom white wash stain by Eastwood Trading Co. A custom designed shoe cabinet built and finished by JN Design & Build helped this family to keep a neat and tidy mudroom.
Artworth throughout includes specially selected pieces by T.S. Harris, Fran Gromley, Lauren Marttila, and a beautiful commissioned piece by Colin Berry.
The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!
Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
